In May 2026, 1.7% of the Arabic-language geopolitical coverage tracked by the MENA GPR Index mentioned Syria. The 90-day average of 1.9% is higher than 4% of all 90-day periods since 2015, and ranks Syria 13 of 23 countries in the index. The highest monthly share was 11.0% in December 2024.
